Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the US R&D team in coordination with R&D Director located in Paris. Includes software development, experimentation, analysis of results, and building new systems that combine linguistics and statistical language models for Machine Translation covering several languages.
  • Oversee existing and lead the effort to acquire new funded research and development activities in the field of Machine Translation.
  • Supervise multiple projects valued at approximately $2M annually under the direction of management.
  • Develop components of software products and accompanying design information, such as functional specifications, design specifications, and unit tests. You will be actively involved in all phases of development including algorithms, software implementation, unit testing, debugging, and system integration.
  • Manage 3 to 4 project teams (5 to 7 individuals).
